This post is basically me showcasing my trash (as you do) and giving a mini review about the products that I have recently used up and whether I have repurchased them or not. So let’s get started…
1. Organic Care Normal Balance Shampoo
I have been using this shampoo (and also the conditioner from the same range) for about 6 months now and I have been enjoying it. It cleans my hair well, doesn’t coat my hair in any nasties and is definitely on the cheaper side costing about $4 from the supermarket.Repurchased: Yes. Is it the best, no, but it does the job!
2. Vaseline Total Moisture Aloe Fresh Lotion with SPF 15
I love to moisturise! I coat my entire body every morning and night after a shower. This one has become my new day time lotion as it contains SPF 15 which I think is awesome. If I am planning on spending time outside in the sun then I will also use a dedicated sunscreen, however, this product is perfect for work days when I might not see the sun a whole lot but I can be exposed to it when walking from my car to the office etc.Repurchased: Yes. In fact, Priceline recently had 40% off so I have stocked up.
3. NIVEA In-Shower Rich Body Lotion
I was pretty excited when I discovered this product. As just mentioned, I love to moisterise, and as you could image moisterising from head to toe adds a bit of time to my daily routine. When I heard that you could just apply this product in the shower and no need to do anything when you get out, I was keen to give it a go. It feels great when you first apply it to wet skin and when I dried my skin it felt soft and well hydrated. I thought I was onto a winner until a couple of hours had passed and my skin began to feel dry and taunt :( Repurchased: No. I must mention though that I have extremely dry skin so it didn’t work for me but if your skin is not too dry then it might just work for you.
4. Dermalogica Dry Skin Kit
I had been using Clinique skin care for YEARS and I swear that one day it just stopped agreeing with my skin. I was on the lookout for some new products to try and decided to give Dermalogica a go after reading some great reviews of their products. I decided to try the kit out first as I have very sensitive skin and I wasn’t keen to invest in the full size products just in case I had a reaction to them. These kits are the perfect size to get a real feel for what the products can do and let’s just say… I am in love!Repurchased: I haven’t repurchased the the kit but I have brought the full size cleanser, moisturiser and PreCleanse and I am one happy camper! My skin feels the best it ever has!
5. L’Oreal True Match Liquid Foundation
Well this product isn’t technically all used up but it is leaving my makeup collection… for good! I had heard so many great things about this foundation but sadly, for whatever reason, it just doesn’t work on my skin. I have done a quick review here if you want to check it out.Repurchased: No. Works well for most, just not me.
6. Dove Clinical Protection
Yip I’m going there, deodorant. I have no idea what my body has been doing lately but I have become “immune” to so many deodorants! I am not a heavy sweater and wouldn’t consider myself to be a smelly person but in the past few months my body has not been accepting to the fact that I am trying to block the sweating from taking place! So in my attempt to tackle this problem I tried this deodorant, and as I am aware it is one of the stronger ones on the market.Repurchased: Yes. I don’t really need to go into too much detail here, all I need to say is that it works and I am now onto my second bottle of this stuff.
7. Dove Hydro Nourishment Body Lotion
You can tell I have a thing for body lotion… this was on a half price special so I thought I would try it out. It was light and had a nice fresh scent, however I really like slightly thicker lotions for my dry skin.Repurchased: No
8. Batiste Dry Shampoo – Tropical Scent
LOVE! I have very long hair, and a lot of it, so washing my hair is quite a task! So on the days where I cannot fit in (or can be bothered) washing my hair then I use a dry shampoo. This one smells amazing, doesn’t leave a white mask on your roots and really adds texture to the hair.Repurchased: Not yet. I have another brand of dry shampoo that I am currently using the last of but once I have used it up then I will be repurchasing another bottle of Batiste for sure.
9. Revlon ColorStay Stay Natural Makeup
Fun fact: this foundation was one of my very first makeup purchases in my teen years. I purchased it online recently by accident when I thought I was ordering the normal Colourstay foundation. I was, however, pleasantly surprised when I used this foundation again. The colour (buff chamois) is a perfect match to my skin in between fake tanning, it doesn’t feel too heavy on the skin, provides natural coverage and it lasts all day.Repurchased: No. I may in the future but for right now I have so many other foundations that I am keen to try out.
10. Matrix Biolage Aqua-Immersion Creme Masque
Aw man this stuff is A-MAZ-ING!! If you have dry or damaged hair then this little beauty will be your best friend. I used this once a week in place of my regular conditioner and it made my hair feel incredibly soft and healthy.Repurchased: No. I am currently trying out another hair masque but I am pretty keen to scoop up this one again in the near future!
11. Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel
My favourite for years but as previously mentioned, just doesn’t work for me anymore. It is a great light weight moisturiser that always felt great on the skin. Repurchased: No.
12. Lush Angels on Bare Skin
This was my first Lush product! It is marketed mainly as a cleanser but I would use it as a gentle exfoliator before my cleanser. It is a beautiful product that smells great (it has real lavender in it!) and leaves the skin feeling so smooth. Bonus: my Fiancé loved using it too!Repurchased: No. I have a couple of exfoliators that I am trying to use up but I will most probably end up purchasing this one again.
13. Estée Lauder Bronze Goddess Powder Bronzer
This bronzer has lasted my for the LONGEST time! I would have still had another month or so with it in my life but I hit pan and shortly after, it smashed into a thousand little pieces. Don’t you just love that! Anyway, I enjoyed using this product and I definitely got value for money with this one as it comes with SO much product in the compact.Repurchased: No. I am eying up one of the Too Faced bronzers for my next purchase!
14. KMS Moist Repair Revival Creme
Last but certainly not least…. the best leave in conditioner I have ever used! This product is great! When I first purchased this product I really hated it, not sure why, I thought it just felt terrible in my hair. When cleaning out my bathroom a few months later I found the almost unused bottle and thought I better give it a second shot (I am such a sucker for not wasting anything!) and well you guessed it, I loved it! I have put my misjudgment down to the shampoo and conditioner that I was using at the time as I didn’t like either of them.Repurchased: You betcha! I think this will be one of those products that I will be repurchasing every time.
Wow! that was a lot of products to get through! I wont leave it as long before I post my next “All Used Up”
Do you have a favourite beauty product that you repurchase over and over?
